The Sculpture Garden, which is right outside of Bar Harbor, was founded in 1990 by H.G. “Skip” Brack, a tool historian and art lover.

Skip is the owner of the famous Liberty Tool Company in Liberty, Maine, which has been open now for 55 years. He is also the founder of the Davistown Museum. His vision was to create a space where tools, art, and history could intersect.

Originally home to the Hulls Cove Tool Barn, the property evolved into the Sculpture Garden in 2000. For decades, it served as both a creative and educational space for visitors interested in traditional tools and modern art. Although the Davistown Museum closed in 2023 following Skip’s retirement, (Along with the Tool Barn) the sculpture garden remains open as a public art park and tribute to his legacy.

Visitors are welcome to explore the grounds during daylight hours. The garden is self-guided, quiet, and ever-changing — a unique blend of natural beauty and human creativity.
